The Government of Thailand is offering three funded scholarships for Asian students including “his Majesty the King’s Scholarships for Doctoral and Master’s programs”, “Her Majesty the Queen’s Scholarships for Master’s program”, and “Loom Nam Khong Pijai (GMS Scholarships) for Master’s Programs”. The Loom Nam Scholarships aim to support human resources development in academic programs related to Infrastructure Development, Energy Technology, Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Development, and Environmental Engineering and Management.
AIT will be focusing on global ties, innovative research and teaching, industrial relevance, and support for entrepreneurship along with fulfilling its social impact and capacity development work. Benefits of Royal Thai Government Scholarships 2025:
- His Majesty the King’s Scholarship (Doctoral): Covers tuition, registration fees, accommodation, and living expenses for the full 7-semester Ph.D. program.

Eligibility Criteria for Royal Thai Government Scholarships 2025:
- His Majesty the King’s Scholarships for Master’s programs are offered to excellent undergraduate students from any Asian country to study in any academic program offered at the School of Engineering and Technology (SET) and the School of Management (SOM).
- Her Majesty the Queen’s Scholarships for Master’s programs are offered to excellent undergraduate students from any Asian country to study the environmental-related programs which are offered at the School of Environment, Resources, and Development (SERD).
- Bhutan, Laos PDR and Timor-Leste, ASEAN countries and other Asian countries are priority countries which are supported by Government of Thailand.
- Candidates should have an outstanding academic record in Undergraduate Program (4 years) and Master’s Program (2 years) from a recognized university in relevant fields.
- The GPA of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree should be ≥ 3.5.
- Applicants should have English language proficiency, IELTS 6.0 (Overall and Writing bands).
- The Loom Nam Scholarships is available to students in 6 GMS countries including Cambodia, Southern Part of China: Yunnan and Guangxi provinces, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand for 22 months.
